OSRAM presents new products at PLASA Show 2008 in London
A stage play without spotlights? A disco without lighting effects? Today, the entertainment industry is unthinkable without the brilliant lamp innovations from OSRAM. The latest developments of the company will be introduced at the PLASA Show 2008 in London from 7 – 10 September. The spotlight will be on its most recent generation of metal halide lamps – from the CLASSIC version to the powerful HMI 24000W with over two million lumens.
Effective and brilliant – the special lamps of OSRAM’s Display/Optic division provide DJs with an ideal light setting. OSRAM will present its latest developments in entertainment lighting at the PLASA Show 2008.
Whether in the theatre or nightclub, during a movie shoot or at the cinema – the highly specialised lamps of the Display/Optic division of OSRAM have set the standard in the entertainment sector for many yearsnow. Thus, participation of the lighting specialist from Munich at the PLASA Show in London’s Earls Court Exhibition Centre is a given. Well-known manufacturers of light and stage technology will present their latest product innovations at the leading trade fair for new technology in the entertainment and installation industry. “For OSRAM, the PLASA Show is one of the key meeting places of the year and an ideal opportunity to introduce our powerful, efficient lamps to a large trade audience“, said André Köhler, Senior Product Manager at OSRAM.
Metal halide lamps for film sets and dance floors
Leading up to the trade fair, OSRAM set about increasing primarily its portfolio of metal halide lamps.The new HMI 24000W is an especially powerful lamp suitable for professional film and television lighting.It convinces with many technical refinements that not only increase the thermal resistance of the lamp but also ensure an excellent light output. A further product highlight: the HMI lamps in the new CLASSIC series. Featuring all the classic OSRAM qualities, their unbeatable price-performance ratio makes them particularly ideal for discotheques, clubs and smaller stages.
Perfect light done to a turn
Particularly versatile and individual applications using OSRAM’s special lamps are made possible by “Lok-it!”, the company’s intelligent lamp and holder system. Even at great heights, such as in concert arenas, the halogen or high-pressure discharge lamps allow for easy and safe lamp replacement – without any tools.
