New possibilities in lighting control: Rotary dimmer and DALI in combination

Convenient control, self-explanatory operating instructions - the DALI MCU from OSRAM provides an easy and uncomplicated introduction into lighting control with DALI interface. OSRAM has now provided the first rotary dimmer with a DALI output, allowing each room to be shown in precisely the right light.

Separate parts of the conference room can even be switched individually using the digital rotary dimmer. The individual control circuits of each part are connected for joint operation. The dimming level of the luminaires is adjusted and controlled from any point of operation.

DALI MCU can be used almost universally: whether classroom, foyer or office - the lighting level in the room can be flexibly adjusted with a single turn. Attractive additional functions such as the storage of the brightness level when switched on or the minimum dimming level further increase the ease of operation. Since the digital dimmer can also be integrated in any standard switching program, the switch cover can be replaced as required to ensure the dimmer blends in with any room design.

Synchronous control - up to 50 luminaires and a maximum 4 operating points
Up to 25 lamps with DALI interface can easily be controlled with the dimmer - from two different points of operation in the room. These are synchronised automatically to prevent interfering side effects such as dimming level jumps when changing the operating point. Parallel switching allows a further DALI MCU dimmer to be connected. The number of luminaires thus increases to 50 with a maximum four points of operation.
