Game, set, light: Lighting for high visual requirements
Tennis, squash or badminton – three types of sport that place high demands on the human eye. A small, extremely fast object that heads directly towards players in front of a changing background. The players have to anticipate trajectories and react very quickly, which is made all the more difficult in squash, for example, by a ball that can reach speeds of 200 km/h!
The high lighting strength generated by OSRAM projectors help the human eye detect contrasts more easily. Different settings and daylight-dependent regulation of the system increase efficiency and generate light according to requirements, preference and budget.
Other technologies
Luminaires that incorporate conventional lighting technology are leading solutions in the illumination of sports facilities. Only conventional luminaires can produce the power required for outdoor floodlighting. At the same time, these solutions are efficient enough for the relevant task because usually they are only switched on for a few hours on a handful of selected days. Various switch settings also allow energy-reduced operation.
